GRE fee reduction

As an AmeriCorps member you can apply to have the GRE fee lowered. You get a one time 50% discount, so instead of paying $140, you pay $70. That includes the test and 4 schools you want scores sent to. Every additional school is $20.
To apply for the reduction you have to fill out a FAFSA form and contact a university to fill out a reduction certificate based on your FAFSA. Once the school fills out one of these, you send it to GRE, they process it for about 3-4 weeks, and then you get a letter from GRE with your confirmation number allowing you to register at a test location.
