Hey everyone, great news, we have two confirmed speakers for the Monday event. Bob Jackson just got back to me and said that he will be able to speak at the event also. So, we're moving with that. We could possibly get someone from Klobuchar's office to speak also (she herself is not in town). What do people think?

Hello All
I was just registering for our VISTA conference that is during AmeriCorps week and noticed that the times they are posting to VISTAs on Monday are from 12-4. I called my VISTA leader and requested they change the time to 5-9 pm. I am pretty sure this is the time we decided on. If this is incorrect please contact Katie Bull ASAP: 651.645.2277 x216 kbull@themlc.org. Is there anyone else we should be contacting to make aware about this time change? I think it can be cleared up with the VISTAs who already registered but this could cause a problem elsewhere if we don't catch it.

Hi all,
I sent an email out to everyone I had on my email list. Please get back to me if this is something you're interested in pursuing: I'm not sure what has been set in stone so far in terms of the Monday kick-off event. Do we have a location or speakers lined up? If not, both women wanted to let us know the city is willing to help us with a location to host the kick-off. Also, that Mayor Coleman could be one of our speakers, and from what they told me, would be excited to attend. However, if we would like him to be able to attend that Monday, I need to email them back ASAP. Please let me know what your ideas are, what progress has been made so far, and whether or not I should "reserve" the mayor. :-)
